Get to Know Me
I grew up in sunny South Florida and always knew I would work in health care. I began my pediatric nursing career in 2004 and worked in different capacities caring for children, including pediatric trauma/Emergency Department. I am also a nurse educator and longtime advocate for children's health. My most prized role is mom to two awesome boys.
Why I Treat Children
Children are resilient, curious, and deserve the very best care — and I've always felt called to be a part of providing that. There is something profoundly meaningful about being trusted with a child's care during illness. Families come to us at their most vulnerable moments, and being able to offer both expert clinical guidance and human compassion is my motivating factor.
What I'm Passionate About
I am living my passion every day. I have a chosen a profession that affords me the opportunity to care for children in all different capacities of health and well-being. I am also passionate about being a health care advocate for children and ensuring that they are receiving optimal care and treatment. Education is also equally central to who I am. My dual role as a clinician and nurse educator also allows me to bring real-world experience into the classroom setting.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I try to make a difference by providing genuine family-centered care. Ensuring that every parent/caregiver feels heard and supported in their decision making and care for their child.
