Get to Know Me

Dr. Flore Macenat Sulzynski is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain specialist with extensive experience in obstetric and complex surgical anesthesia. She focuses on caring for mothers during high-risk pregnancies and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe deliveries and compassionate support for families.

Why I Treat Children

High-risk obstetrics is particularly meaningful to me because many of these patients are healthy mothers who suddenly find themselves facing the unexpected challenge of having a baby with medical complications. These situations can be incredibly emotional and stressful for families.

As an anesthesiologist, I play a critical role in helping ensure that mothers remain safe during complex deliveries and procedures. I feel privileged to support patients during these moments and to work alongside obstetricians, neonatologists, and nurses to provide the highest level of care for both mother and baby.

Outside of medicine, I am a wife and mother of three children. Being a parent has deepened my empathy for families and helps me understand how important clear communication and reassurance are during medical care.

What I'm Passionate About

I am passionate about patient safety, obstetric anesthesia, and providing calm, compassionate care during high-stress situations. High-risk deliveries require careful preparation, strong communication, and seamless teamwork among many specialists.

I take great pride in being part of that team and helping create a safe and supportive environment for mothers and families during delivery. I am also passionate about teaching and mentoring residents, CRNAs, and medical students and helping train the next generation of anesthesiologists.

How I Try to Make A Difference

I try to make a difference by helping patients feel informed, supported, and cared for during what can be a very stressful experience. Many families facing high-risk pregnancies have a lot of unanswered questions and uncertainty.

I make it a priority to listen carefully to patients, explain the anesthesia plan clearly, and address their concerns so they feel more comfortable going into delivery. In the operating room, my focus is on vigilance, preparation, and teamwork to ensure the safest possible care.
