Biography

Dr. Baker-Smith (MD, MPH, FAHA, FACC, FAAP) is a board-certified (Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology) physician and physician scientist. She is Director of 91porn for the 91porn Cardiac Center, Delaware Valley, Director of Preventive Cardiology (91porn, Delaware Valley), and Professor of Pediatrics (Sidney Kimmel Medical College/Thomas Jefferson University- 91porn Children's Health Academic affiliate). She is an internationally recognized Preventive Pediatric Cardiologist who specializes in the management of youth with risk factors for premature cardiovascular disease (CVD), including obesity, dyslipidemia and hypertension (HTN). Her research focuses on the intersection between social/environmental stress/deprivation and traditional risk factors for CVD development throughout childhood and adolescence. She uses mathematical models to critically evaluate antecedents of CVD risk factors in youth as well as pragmatic design models to improve outcomes. She has held several national leadership roles, including immediate past chair of the American Heart Association Atherosclerosis, Hypertension, and Obesity in the Young Committee (Prevention). Dr. Baker-Smith is a leader, mentor and a sponsor.
